Broggin' time!

Yeah, I know - the beard is a little shaggy. I had the intention to get a trim yesterday but that didn't exactly pan out. Maybe it's time to grow the shag out. We'll see.

Blogging from a laptop is pretty much the acme of being a spoiled brat. This I know. This I am sure of.

So here I am, what to write?

I checked the news and wow - lot's of horrible things happening. Are they trying to make you forget how beautiful and awesome life is - or what? Listening to the news or having a news channel running during your waking hours as background noise in your house is definitely a good way to bum yourself out, subconsciously or consciously. I don't recommend it.

Pakistan - 20 million (they admit 20 million) have been displaced because of the flooding. Wow. But you know, getting down to brass-tacks here, this is only 1 of a myriad of problems now. The already shoddy irrigation systems which run throughout Pakistan are now backed up, the drinking water is contaminated, and top of the pile of kife is the fact that people are starving - crops can't grow when they are flooded. So the fantastically effd up situation they are dealing with is now also compounded by things like outsourcing for food while trying to retain their own supplies. We have friends and family in Pakistan, and none of this is a game to me, we are doing everything we can to help.

From what I can gather out of the propaganda box - there are a few hot topics that those behind the curtain would just love for you to spend all your waking hours thinking about. One of them being this alleged Masjid (Mosque) at "Ground Zero", another being "5 Years After Katrina- Where F.E.M.A Went Wrong", another President Obama and the promises he has kept vs. the promises he hasn't... I'm sure there were more, but honestly, I can only handle so much double-speak and blatant lies before I just put up my hands and say "done!".

I am so let down with my fellow man when it comes to this whole Mosque situation. When it comes to Islam, I keep forgetting how ignorant people still are, sort of half-assuming that the World self-educates, which is quite obviously not the case, like there must be something broken in my head that likes to keep being let down, because I think too highly of my species or something.

You know what? No, I don't even want to talk about this, and that's how I really feel. I have studied Islam at a Masjid, read the Quran twice, read several Hadith, have many Muslim friends, fasted during Ramadan with the Muslim community, had a Muslim as my best man... and you know what? There are liars and thieves of every race and creed, and that's all I have to say about that. Don't allow the mainstream media to suck you in to a black hole of infighting and divisiveness. Expand your mind, broaden your horizons. Take a vacation on the International Space Station if you can, it really helps.

We are small. Small like ants. Our entire planet and all that is in it could fit on the ball of a pen. Who's to say otherwise? Size is all relative friends. The you inside you is, as all my research indicates, the size of a grain of sand, and located in the centre of your brain inside something called the Pineal Gland.

All of us, big and small, short and tall, rich and poor, we were all once a tiny dot. A tiny dot expanding and expanding, starting from the head. Head first, then body, body supporting the head, where the real us lives. We operate these bodies like vehicles. We forget that we learned to walk, learned to speak, learned to read and write. We are behind the wheel, we pull the levers, our hands rarely come off, so much so that we have entirely forgotten that we aren't the machine - but that we operate it. All the while the mainstream media and this culture-trance of flesh and selfishness is reinforcing the "you are your body" mindset, because that works with them, that helps them sell you crap you don't need, as you live a life you hate, medicated to the gills, and wondering where it all went wrong and what the point to all this is.

Friends, no earthly government will ever be able to save you in any way that really matters.
