♪ Oh Hello Thirties
Posted on September 28, 2011
Well I am pleased to give you a demo acoustic recording of my latest song, "Oh Hello Thirties".
"So Long Twenties", "Oh Hello Thirties", and "Awesomum Maximus" are a three song set, meant to be listened to in that order. Just so you know : )
O-oh oh, o-oh
Fatefully, made it to my 30's
where I will now reside
promised myself bad habits go now
and my will I will not divide
A decade has come and gone
in my rearview
I say so long
Oh faithful heart I seek
a life with integrity
without envy, hate or greed
time's disappeared my 20's
Awareness intact this guitar on my back
and I cannot complain
moved on from the past
the best is yet to come to pass
that I won't rescind, I'll retain
Sleeper sleep at last
we've disappeared our past
all these mud-suits must go
and I don't know about you
but I'm a million times more than this body will ever be
a million times more than this body will ever be able to hold
O-oh oh, o-oh
I'll throw the YouTube acoustic demo's of the triplets here, to make it easier for ya.
If my whole life had lead up to this point
I'd want it to be honest
I'd let go of falsehood and all the little lies
between us
I would tell you the truth from a dull face for life
you're not made of ceramic my darling
you'll survive
You're not my girl
I'm not your man
let's stop over romanticizing the past
let's let go of the plans that you thought we had made
what's 29 years of a life anyway?
Tired and alone
and in town
I know you're not the answer at all
even if you were around
Will I look back in 10 years on my 30's and say
I hope that my 40's dear God aren't the same?
You're not my girl
I'm not your man
let's stop over romanticizing the past
let's let go of the plans that you thought we had made
what's 29 years of a life anyway?
Those memories of us just go to the grave
I'm sorry for wasting your time
I'd say
O-oh oh, o-oh
Fatefully, made it to my 30's
where I will now reside
promised myself bad habits go now
and my will I will not divide
A decade has come and gone
in my rearview
I say so long

O-oh oh, o-oh
I don't know about you but I'm a million times more than this body will ever be able to hold.
So take what you need cuz' I'm not here forever.
This body can't hold me, this body could never.
Don't demand I describe what I see cuz' how could I?
I won't need these eyes where I'm going from this life.
But take what you'll need but remember I'm leaving.
Don't forget all the Lear's and the Wilcock's pleading.
We stand and we side with the truth while we're bleeding.
No Van Allen belts will stop this signal from screaming.
I take and I need and have sore eyes from reading.
If this life is a test, are you passing and leaving?
I don't know about you but I am
a million times more than this body will ever be able to hold.
What did you do for yourself on YOUR thirtieth birthday? Hahah, me, I wrote myself 3 songs about turning 30, then I quit drinking tea, pop, coffee, and alcohol.
Radio play is nice. I'll take some more of that. Haha.
